4 February 2010 – Pizza from Arizmendi

D was going to  cook tonight but is getting ready for a big event and worked very late. He asked me if I could pick up a pizza at Arizmendi on my way home for the two of us and R (also working late), so I did.

Arizmendi pizza; snap peas and mushrooms

The pizza had arugula, gorgonzola, onions, mozzarella, and walnuts in it. It came with a balsamic vinaigrette dressing to pour over the pizza after cooking. It was quite unusual and very tasty. Here is light-cooked pizza as bought, before I popped it in a 400 degree oven for 8 minutes.

D also suggested cooking up the last of the snap peas, which were in a cheapo bag when bought. I sliced some mushrooms and sauteed them in butter, with salt, and added the peas once the mushrooms were close to done, mimicking what D did the other night – a most pleasant veggie. We had an Epicuro Nero d’Avola from TJ’s, which was good.
