7 March 2010 – Curried red lentils with chicken

This is from The Great Bean Book.

It’s good comfort food and freezes well. It doesn’t quite have the zing it ought to have with two jalapenos in it, but it’s still very tasty. It has an internal veggie in its red pepper, which is convenient.

The curry is served over basmati rice, and with yogurt with fresh mint as a condiment. Good food 🙂

I’m posting this 5 days late, and I’m afraid I don’t remember what wine we had with this – clearly a white form the photo, and perhaps a Beringer Chard from TJ’s that cost $3.99 and was really good. But I’ll see if I can sort it out later. First I have to fill in the remaining few days, I hope before tonight’s pizza needs cooking.
