We had a family favorite, fondue, which we especially like to have when P is here to share it with us. As a special treat, and b/c morels turned up at the Bowl, we had asparagus with morels as a first course.
OK, so that’s a bit tongue-in-cheek, but it’s what is actually on the plate, no? Here is more substance. The actual fondue, cropped from a very much larger picture:

Here’s the first course: more photogenic than bread cubes. Oh hey. Mary also made the plate.
We had a Clos Saron wine with this, which, though a great wine, might have been happier being sipped alone. It didn’t fight with the fondue, but I don’t think either gained much from the pairing, either.
