This is a variation on a recipe D invented – one of his staples. Just different mushrooms this time.
He got a bag of discount mushrooms when he went to the Bowl a couple of days ago, and they included portobellos (which we had last night and also in the present pasta) and shiitakes. He came home, put on water for the pasta, chopped up the remaining shiitakes and a portobello and put them on to cook, and went outside to cut down and bring in a bolted parsley plant (most of which ended up in a vase). He also dug out a wine our neighbor T gave us (unnecessarily) when D took care of her cats. With the Acme bread from yesterday, it was a very nice Friday night meal.
