D noticed that he had forgotten to cook the corn he just bought for lunch, so we had that for dinner.
He took out some of the Oaxacan mozzarella-like cheese I used for my chard pizza on Labor Day, and some olives I bought at Cheese Board on Friday. We also had more avocados and tomatoes with balsamic vinegar, one of my favorite summer treats.
He brought up one of our Calstar wines – a “Za Za Zin” – saying that it made more sense to have these during the week, when we don’t finish the bottle, since they are so high in alcohol. I do find they are a bit too heavy-duty for me, though they are quite delicious to drink. 1/3 of a bottle was fine.
