18 September 2010 – Spaghetti with mushrooms, pinenuts, and parsley, with shaved pecorino Romano; avocados and tomatoes with balsamic vinegar

This is a specialty of D’s. I really like it.

We just had a little tonight because we’d been to the “Kermit Party” for lunch and had Christopher Lee’s brilliant Bouillibaise with grilled and oiled Acme baguettes, with an excellent rose. So we weren’t very hungry (or, to be sure, very thirsty 😉  Ate up some leftover avocados and tomatoes, which were ok but had seen better days. I forgot to take the leftovers for lunch on Friday, and also forgot to call D&Rs’ attention to them, so we had them a day later instead. Had the ends of two bottles of wine – the Nerelo del Bastardo, and the Calstar Za Za Zin.
