4 October 2010 – Bread and cheese after the faculty meeting

I knew I would be at work late today, so I planned on an easy dinner and asked D to buy a baguette at the Bowl during one of his trips past it during the day.

He had bought a new brie from Fromager d’Affinois called “Blue”, and I had gotten to the Cheese Board on the weekend and bought Cremont, a luxurious, creamy Vermont cheese that is part cow’s milk and part goat’s. I also bought Picholine olives at the Bowl, and used a half cup of them in a recipe from Dean and Deluca (toss with olive oil, lemon zest, and red pepper flakes).

I’ll have to ask D to remember which wine we had with this meal. Why is this turning into a link???
