18 October 2010 – Spaghetti with fresh tomato sauce; green beans with mushrooms

D made this spaghetti sauce with fresh tomatoes. It has a little hamburger in it, and a most interesting vinegary taste, probably from some old wine he tossed into it. I liked it a lot.

He cooked green beans with mushrooms again – I think he steams or boils the beans a bit first, then cooks them together with the mushrooms in butter. It’s a great combination. He baked no-knead bread again. Here’s a cloeup of the surface of this pretty loaf:
