19 October 2010 – Spaghetti with mushrooms, pine nuts, and parsley; bean bruschetta; summer tomatoes

D made one of his specialties again. It’s a very tasty pasta with mushrooms, pine nuts and parsley, with Romano peeled over the top.

He also had some beans that he cooked up a couple days ago, and served as a bruschetta. The tomatoes are the most excellent Dirty Girl Farm dry-farmed Early Girls, which are still great even in late October this year – apparently due to the slow start in the cold summer.

We had this ‘snake wine’ again, and enjoyed it, though interestingly, we thought it was better the second night, when it had been stored in a small bottle for a couple of days.
