25 October 2010 – poached egg, fried potatoes, and roasted tomatoes

Another interesting and delicious meal from D.

He found the recipe for the potatoes – which are fried in oil and then tossed in vinegar and oil – in his new tapas book. These were really interesting, and perfectly done. He poached an egg for each of us, and also heated up the rest of the roasted tomatoes with garlic and thyme from the weekend. Great dinner!

He chose a wine from Costco – though he didn’t notice it was from Costco – a 2007 Bordeaux that had a lot of good flavors, but probably would have benefited from being opened a bit earlier. We have more of it that we didn’t drink tonight so will see how it is tomorrow. Chateau of the heart of silver… Chateau de la Coeur d’Argent.
