On Saturday we stowed away some vats of beef stew in the freezer, and saved a bunch in the fridge for dinners this week – so here’s the first. It was a wonderful comfort food again.
D also boiled up some haricots and then cooked some small pieces of onion in butter, and added the beans to reheat – delicious! The tomatoes are today’s from Dirty Girl Farm – two were quite wonderful, the other wanted to be eaten yesterday – when of course it wasn’t ours yet. We had the leftover Cotes du Ventoux and leftover Bordeaux with this meal. I guess it really was leftovers night!
This little squash has nothing to do with dinner except that it was sitting on the table looking cute. It will turn up as a meal when D figures out what to do with it. He mostly bought it b/c he thought it was cute. It’s called a buttercup squash.
