D took the farro that we cooked for lunch (I think) awhile back and added a bunch of veggies to it to make a tasty and very healthful dinner.
He sauteed some onions and added them. He used the last of the roasted red pepper I had left over from last night. He separately sauteed some mushrooms and tossed them in. He also cooked a newly bought zucchini, sliced and quartered.
D pulled a really fine wine out of the cellar – a Charles Krug 2001 Napa Valley Merlot. We actually don’t know where this came from. I think it’s probably from our friend A, but D, who is more likely to know, says it isn’t. Nevertheless – a wonderful, complex and inviting wine.
