D came home and searched around the fridge for something to cook for dinner, not realizing till it came up in another context that it was Friday, not Thursday night. That meant he had to cook a dinner worthy of a really good wine – but of course, he usually does that anyway 🙂
He made us an omelette with pecorino Romano, a bunch of Greek oregano from the garden, and pepper. He says he put too much milk in it, so it ended up more like scrambled eggs. Tasted good, in any case 🙂 He boiled Brussels sprouts, and then recooked them with diced, sauteed onions and a small amount of radicchio.
He chose our much-loved Cantina Zaccagnini Montepulciano d’Abruzzo to go with this and it wad wonderful, as always. This bottle was missing part of its necklace, but that didn’t actually affect the taste…
Bread was new today, too. Beautiful again 😉
