Pasta with tomato sauce; salad with avocados – 22 March 2011

I’m afraid I’m writing this a month later – the 22nd of April – and don’t know exactly what went into this meal. A simple tomato sauce, I’m sure, over pasta.

Closeup, it looks like a hamburger spaghetti, so I’m going to call it that. Also a slice of Acme bread. Clearly a nice salad, too, with avocados and balsamic vinaigrette over romaine.

We had another in our set of wines from Grocery Outlet that were imported by Eric Stauffenegger, but were a pale shadow of their former selves (hence being at GO). I don’t recall which one this was. D poured it off into this nifty 500ml bottle the previous night for safekeeping. It was likely the Belle Poule red. Best guess. Isn’t the bottle cute? I think D got it at Bryant Labs.
