Grilled chicken; grilled Japanese eggplant; rice with sage – 5 October 2011

D grilled some chicken breasts from Costco, coating them with herbs from the garden first. He also sliced up a long Japanese eggplant from my colleague J, oiled it and grilled it, and cooked some rice (I think Thai jasmine) with herbs – I think sage. {Written the 13th}

I also find this photo of J Vidal Fleury Cotes du Rhone, a wine we enjoy from Trader Joe’s. I don’t remember details about this meal except that I enjoyed it a lot, and didn’t (apparently) write anything down at the time.
