Fried egg, Crepinette, potatoes, Brussels sprouts – 28 February 2013

D cooked breakfast-for-dinner again. It seems R had mentioned how good Christopher Lee’s crepinettes were with Brussels sprouts, but unfortunately, I had my last bite of sprouts in my mouth before D happened to mention that. He landed another half-sprout from his plate onto mine, which was sweet 🙂 D cooked one crepinette for the two of us, and, because last time they didn’t cook through, he sliced it crosswise and finished cooking by putting the inside parts down on the hot oil for a bit. He also fried us each an egg, boiled some Yukon Gold potatoes, and toasted up a couple slices of Acme Pain au Levain, which he bought yesterday. We had an Epicuro 2010 Aglianico that says “Beneventano” – don’t know what that means – from Trader Joe’s. We like all of their Epicuro wines, though some are more equal than others. This was very enjoyable, but not my favorite of the lot.
