Spaghetti with Calabrian sausage and arugula – 21 March 2013

Addpix

D made a wonderful pasta tonight, using a Calabrian sausage from Christopher Lee, and some more of the arugula pillow he bought on Saturday. He started by cooking chopped red onion in olive oil, then added slices of the sausage. Finally, he added the baby arugula leaves. He served this all over spaghetti. It was delicious.

D also bought an Acme Italian Batard today. He brought up a wine from Trader Joe’s, by a winery we’ve had before, LaGranja, but not a wine we’ve had before – marked garnacha|syrah|2011. The wine cost only $4.99, and was quite good, especially for the price. The denominacion is Carinena.
