Pad Thai prawns; corn salad – Dinner at Anchalee! – 17 April 2013

I called D about 7:30 to see if he had any ideas for dinner, and he suggested walking to Anchalee. I agreed, and we had a very good dinner of corn salad and Pad Thai with prawns. We asked for a French wine (evidently for export – an English label??) called “Naked Earth” which was served warm, though it was a white (Sauvignon Blanc, Vignonier, Grenache). I got them to cool the last half of it, though the sweet waitress kept trying to put more of the half-cold wine in my glass of warm wine, which would have taken all the good cooling out of it. Beginners get some slack, so this is not a deal-killer. The corn salad was fabulous, the Pad Thai good but nothing special.
