Dinner from excellent hors d’oeuvres – 6 May 2013

Had a reception for three retiring colleagues at work, and wow, good food! It was all forms of appetizers or snacks, but nutritious and delicious and lots of them. Let’s see: endive with smoked salmon ceviche; tabouli, hummus, and pita quarters; little sausage patties (bite-sized) with something cute on top – perhaps mayo or cream cheese, but just a bit, and something yellow on top of that; some skewers with I think tofu and other stuff (not the best part – though I love tofu – the sauce was not up to par); wonton stuffed with chicken and ginger; profiteroles with cream filling; cookies, and little square sweets of an amazing variety of flavors. I wonder what I left out…

I had a glass of the cabernet in the picture, and a teeny bit of the white to see what it was like. Perfectly good wines, nothing to write home about.
