Chorizo; rices and beans; Brussels sprouts – 23 January 2014

D had dinner waiting on the stove for me to arrive home, which I did about quarter to 8. Sorry about that.

main140123setting140123He cooked up the single Christopher Lee Chorizo sausage we had in the freezer, reheated some of the black rice, Thai Jasmine rice, and pinto beans from previous dinners, and boiled up and buttered some nice little Brussels sprouts he bought I think yesterday at the Bowl. Very nice dinner.



D also had out a bottle of Chateau Liversan Haut-Medoc (2010) from Costco. This is the vintage I got by accident at Costco, when they got me down a case, and then after going through all that work, said it was not the same vintage I had had and came back for. I bought the case b/c they had gone to all that trouble, but I don’t think it is nearly as good. We had more of the Acme sourdough loaf, too. Amazing survivor, this bread. It’s been here a few days already.
