Spaghetti with pesto; gift brie; tomato – 17 July 2014

Writing this up on the 26th, but I remember some of the story.


setting140717We were just at the end of recovering from our illnesses (so we thought) at this point. I went to the Thursday farmers’ market for peaches, and found a little tomato at the Lucero booth that I wanted to try – it was quite good!  We decided to make an easy dinner. I defrosted two pesto cubes, and took out the last of the brie that our houseguests kindly sent us. This made a most excellent and simple wine140717dinner (except that this batch of pesto is not great. Unfortunately, we have a lot of it. What does it need??) Did we have crackers with the cheese? I don’t see any bread in this story. Could be.

D brought up a bottle of our Madiran. One of these turned out to be not-great, and we left the rest for cooking, but I don’t remember if it was this one, not that it matters anyway!
