Omelette with piperade; Romano beans with bacon – 3 November 2014

main141103setting141103D cooked a wonderful omelette, but I don’t remember (15th) which cheese he used in it, unfortunately. Over the top, he put some of the piperade he had made the other day out of the red and yellow sweet peppers in the fridge, some tomatoes from either Dirty Girl Produce or Tomatero Farm, and pimenton d’espelette.

wine141103He cooked more of the Romano beans from the Tuesday farmers’ market, and decided to cook a half-slice of bacon (separately) to serve them with this time; but he had decided they were so good he didn’t want to cook them in anything but salted water, so he just sprinkled the bacon over them on the plates. He bought a new loaf of Acme Pain au Levain, which is always excellent. We had a Caminetto Chianti with dinner, a wine we got awhile ago at Grocery Outlet, and it was really good.

The details on the wine label are pretty, too 🙂

dessert141103Later, we had two more of the Scharffen Berger chocolates that I bought to give out to students for Halloween.
