Broccoli calzone – 3 June 2018

Decided to make this to use one of the cups of tomato sauce left in the fridge from when I needed something like 1/4 cup of it… what was that? Anyway… also two stalks of broccoli, one of whose florets I’d used already. Also used up the last pizza dough in the freezer so the next pizza will be a lot of work. the recipe I more or less followed is here. I added some dried herbs to the tomato sauce – basil, thyme, oregano, IIRC (filling this in the 11th).

D chose a bottle of Equia Rioja that we bought at Costco years ago – after getting a different vintage at Vintage Berkeley and loving it. Worked fine.

D brought out more of the Aldi’s Moser Roth chocolate (70%) and strawberries for dessert. Great combination!

Lunch:

Just another sandwich 🙂 Probably red witch cheese? On defrosted Acme Upstairs Bread. Nice filet beans form the Bowl, steamed (assuming I cooked them) and tossed in butter. Picholine olives from Cheese Board. Beautiful radishes from the Bowl – also not too biting a taste.
